Pinnacle Security, LLC takes your money, time and leaves your house unsecure with holes in the walls

Pinnacle Security, LLC complaint by RippedOFF40475
I am customer who has had a home security system in my house for several years. I think home security systems when installed by a true professional give you that peace of mind you are looking for.

On 8/18/2006 Pinnacle Security had sent out reps from their company to do door to door sales in our neighborhood. We currently had a security system that worked fine but they used a great sales pitch to get us to go to this new wireless system with voice panel. We bought the whole sales gimmick, what fools we were.

This new system constantly went off for numerous different reasons ( battery backup failures, false alarms) but the worst thing about it was you could walk right in our front door and no alarm would even go off.

They sent a tech out to fix it all the way from Utah. He tried then the company that they sold the contract to ADT sent their techs out on 5 more occasions. The last tech was frustrated at how poorly the sytem was even said that the installer pieced together a bunch of different systems together to try and make one out of it for whatever reasons.

The end result I took off work several times to meet with these techs who never could get it fixed and was told I probably need a whole new system. Well that's what I paid for in the first place, now I am told I need another. I paid for 9 months for a service I did not received so I cancelled them due to not getting the service I was paying for.

A year later I get a collection notice, harrassing phone calls from Pinnacle Security and reported to the credit bureaus for non payment. Then I get a call from a collection attorney who says I breached the contract. When I explained to him the whole story and not just their fabricated version, he backs down and says he is just the law firm that is to collect the money.

This is total crap, where is the protection for the consumer who meets his obligations and has this big company harrass you day and night and ruin your credit report. I am sick of this company and wouldn't reccommend them to anyone or anything. Their installers are poorly trained kids and their management is out for your money and not the satisfaction of a contract they signed. They can break and not perform the services they agreed to and still make you pay the fees and its your responsibilty to miss work over and over and over so that they can come out and put more holes in your walls, waste your time while they can't figure out what type crap was installed.

I have had ADT before and they are good the

problem is

PINNACLE SECURITY, LLC is a joke.

The only thing they secure is your deposit and payments and leave you with a damaged credit report, a damaged sense of trust for these types of companies and leave you losing thousands of dollars.

hopefully you will leave this comment here. I am a sales rep for pinnacle. First off, I think you should google on the internet different alarm companies (even ADT, considered the best) and then see how much bad people talk about them. the problem is not the company but the people.. Second, you guys should read the contract first before signing something. third, you have the right to refuse what's offered. If pinnacle weren't good enough they wouldn t be partners with a 9 billion dollar company(golden gate capital). Pinnacle is a fast growing company. you can tell whatever you want but every company has its up's and downs, including the big ones

Ok my bestfriend was getting the security system installed in her home and she referred him to me. I SPECIFICALLY asked him would there be holes drilled into my wall..i am concerned because i live in an APARTMENT. He told me "no it is completely wireless" so he never gave me an opportunity to say no to the entire time he sort of bombarded his way to my apartment. I should have read the contract then because he put the INCORRECT date of my start of service on there, he was an entire month OFF. Then he told me that if I move they can put a new system in my new home...after reading the contract after he left (which was dumb on my part) the fine print says it will install it if you stay at the same residence over 12 months which i am not. If I move before 12 months then they will charge me $99 to install a new system. To make it worse when the tech came in HE DRILLED IN MY WALL!!! It was too late to stop him by then and then after reading my lease I do not believe I can put holes in the wall in my apartment!! But good old salesman told me no holes and that apartment complexes like to have security systems!! BULL!! He also told me to LIE and say i was a homeowner when he knew i was RENTING an apartment. So after I read the fine print and got TOTALLY PISSED I informed my bestfriend of the information. So I faxed in my cancellation notice because it said as long as I fax it within 3 business days after my contract started then everything would be ok. So my contract started on a saturday I faxed it 2 times on Monday. I am waiting to see what is going to happen next. My bestfriend called in to Pinnacle and they were trying everything in their power to keep her but ended up telling her to fax the cancelation notice in. If I get screwed some more I will surely be back to this site. The salespeople are shady!!

I feel inexplicably stupid for purchasing this security system. Scott Quenstet was the salesman that came to my house as well. There HAS to be some way to cancel the service without having to make the payments for the full three and a half years.

The same thing has happened to me. I was told by Scott Quenstedt (210) 843-1118 that this contract could be canceled at any time if I didn't want the system any more and like a moron I signed the document. IF anyone can find a way out of this piece of crap contract and system please let me know asap.

I was also duped into this contract. The sales person never told me about the 39 month contract. She led me to believe that I could cancel at any time. I have no idea why I signed the contract or why I didn't tell her to take a hike. All I know is she was a very effective sales person. I've been looking online for a solution to how I can get out of this contract. So far, I see no way out except to pay the full amount remaining on my contract. Isn't there some other way to get out of it?
